SPECIFICATIONS

Part No. : DS200SHVMG1B
Manufacturer: General Electric
Series: Mark V
Product Type: SCR High Voltage Board

DS200SHVMG1B is an SCR High Voltage Card developed by GE under the Mark V series. It performs the function of a high voltage M-frame interface board. Because it was designed for the General Electric Mark V board series, this card is compatible with a wide range of GE brand exciters and drives. This board provides interfacing between the M-frame drive's SCR bridge and the DCFB/SDCI power supply board and the PCCA power connect card.

  • When installed, the card provides a variety of drive functions to the drive. The board converts shunt signals (ranging from -500 to 500 mV) into differential frequency outputs (0 to 500 kHz). The shunt signals are converted into frequencies in the positive and negative DC voltage-controlled oscillator circuits. When the conversions are finished, the frequency signals are sent to the DCFB, SDCI, or PCCA card.
  • For AC line currents, a 10:1 current transformer attenuation is available. Using the 17 integrated configurable jumpers, the board can accommodate most attenuation requirements.
  • This PCB does not always use transformers, but when attenuation is required, which is when card is above 144 mA main line ACCT secondary current, board uses transformers for the AC line currents.
  • Make sure to follow all of the manufacturer's installation guidelines for both the PPCB and the installed drive. These will encourage proper drive and system operation.
  • Please refer to the device's datasheet and manual for step-by-step instructions on wiring and installing the board. The Manual GEI-100174 contains information on the SHVM boards. The SCR High Voltage M-Frame Interface Board Manual contains the following contents: safety symbol legend, functional description, application data, and renewal.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the distinction between DS200SHVMG1B safety signal warning and caution?
A warning is a safety signal that indicates a procedure, practice, condition, or statement that, if not strictly followed, could result in personal injury or death. Caution may result in equipment damage or destruction.

What kind of transformers are used on this PCB?
To provide additional current attenuation capability, it employs hardware jumper-selectable 10:1 current transformers.

Where can I learn more about the connectors on the board?
It has eight plug connectors and eighteen stab connectors. Tables 2-9 of the GEI-100174 Manual show the pin signals for each of the plug connectors. Stabbing connectors are described in Table 10 of the manual.
