The IC3600SFIB1D is a Flame Indicator Card that is part of the Speedtronic family of turbine control systems. The Speedtronic Control System is a control system circuit board developed by General Electric in 1968 (and deployed in a turbine in Long Island, New York), and it managed and regulated approximately 300 heavy-duty gas turbines for over 500 thousand hours between 1968 and the 1980s. The Speedtronic control systems that were in use back then are no longer in production and are considered out of date and outmoded when compared to the products and materials available today. • Two flame detectors are used with a combustion system which has four detectors.
• The flame detectors are utilized in both the start-up sequence and during the operation.
• During operation loss of flame is indicated by only one sensor alarm. If both sensors indicate flame loss, the unit will trip.
• During startup, one sensor indicating flame will allow the starting sequence to continue.
• Prior to commencing, the detectors are examined to ensure that they are signaling "No Flame" as a system failure check.
