The system can measure static (position) and dynamic (vibration) readings and outputs a voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface.

Functional Description

• The system's primary applications include vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements. The standard API 670 Standard (4th Edition) is fully complied with by the mechanical design, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability of the 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system.
• It is not necessary to match or bench calibrate individual components because all 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems offer this level of performance and support full interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximity sensors.
• Each component of the 3300 XL 8 mm transducer system is retro compatible and interchangeable with non-XL 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components from the 3300 series. For applications where an 8 mm probe would be too large for the available mounting area, this compatibility also includes the 3300 5 mm probe.
