133300-01 Features

• The 3500/15 Series Power Supplies must be installed in the specially designed slots on the left side of the rack. The 3500 rack can house one or two power supplies (any combination of ac and/or dc), with either supply capable of powering the entire rack. The second supply, if installed, serves as a backup for the primary supply.
• When two power supplies are installed in a rack, the lower supply serves as the primary supply and the upper supply serves as the backup supply. As long as a second power supply is installed, removing or inserting either power supply module will not disrupt rack operation.
• The 3500 Power Supplies accept a wide range of input voltages and convert them to voltages that other 3500 modules can use. With the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System, three Power Supply versions are available: 1. alternating current power supply, 2. High Voltage Direct Current Power Supply 3. Low Voltage Direct Current Power Supply

Compatibility

• The Legacy 3500 High Voltage and Low Voltage DC Power Supplies and PIMs are NOT compatible with the High Voltage DC Power Supplies and PIMs.
• The traditional high voltage AC or low voltage AC devices are incompatible with the universal AC power supply and power input module.

Rack Space Requirements

• On the left side of the rack, there are two half-height slots for the power supply module.
• One power supply fits in each slot.
• It is possible to use redundant power supplies because both slots may accommodate one at once.
• Power input module -Directly behind the connected power supply is a special half-height module.
