Functional Description

IS200SDIIH1A is a contact input isolation terminal board developed by GE under Mark VIe control system. The Contact Input with Point Isolation terminal board includes 16 isolated voltage detection circuits for sensing voltages across relay contacts, fuses, switches, and other contacts. The board features Euro-style box terminals and a connector that accepts various option boards. For each contact input channel, three terminals are provided. Each channel can accept the following voltage levels: 24 V dc/48 V dc/125 V dc/250 V dc/115 V ac rms/230 V ac rms. When PDII is used in conjunction with SDII, all 16 channels are point-isolated.

It has Euro-style terminal blocks that allow for easy and secure connections. In terms of temperature range, this terminal board is capable of operating within the range of -30 to +65 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for use in a wide range of environments and applications. The Contact Input Isolation Terminal Board is a reliable and high-quality product that is designed to provide secure and reliable connections between input signals and the control system

Features

  • It is connected by three groups of WDII option boards. When the option board WDII is connected, the point isolated channels become group isolated channels with WDII providing the system wetting voltage.
  • To monitor the wetting voltage, WDII boards use an isolated voltage detector circuit similar to SDII. All 16 channels can be system wetted with 24 V dc, 115 V ac rms, or 230 V ac rms using option board WDIIH1. When using option board, each of the 16 channels can be set and configured individually as point isolated, and each channel can accept a different voltage level as needed.
  • In this configuration, a combination of point isolation and group isolation is possible. Using the WDIIH2 option board, all 16 channels can be system wetted with 48 V dc. When using WDIIH2, each of the 16 channels can be set and configured individually as point isolated, and each channel can accept a different voltage level as needed. In this configuration, a combination of point isolation and group isolation is possible. Using the version 3 option board, all 16 channels can only be system wetted with 125 V dc. There is no option to configure channels as point isolated.

Installation

  • The SDII and plastic insulator are attached to a sheet metal carrier that is screwed to the cabinet.
  • If used, an option board plugs into SDII and is held in place by four stand-offs and fastener hardware. The contact inputs are typically wired directly to the terminal block with 18 AWG wires. Shields should be terminated with their own bracket.

Wiring

  • Connect the wires for the 16 isolated digital inputs directly to the terminal board's 48 pin Euro-style pluggable terminal blocks, with each terminal accepting up to 18 AWG wires.
  • Each block has three screws for each contact input channel, and each block can be unplugged from the board for maintenance. To the left of each terminal block is a shield terminal strip connected to chassis ground.

Voltage range for point isolated inputs

  • Nominal 14 to 32 V dc, 24 V dc
  • Nominal 19 to 64 V dc, 48 V dc
  • Nominal 50 to 156 V dc, 125 V dc
  • Nominal 100 to 264 V dc, 250 V dc
  • Nominal 90 to 143 V ac rms, 115 ac V rms, 50/60 Hz ±3 Hz
  • Nominal 90 to 265 V ac rms, 230 ac V rms, 50/60 Hz ±3 Hz
  • If the wetting voltage falls outside of the above-mentioned (configured) ranges, an alarm is triggered as invalid voltage. Contact status is not reported when the voltage is invalid. Only when the wetting voltage is present at the TB points is it monitored.
