FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

IS200JPDAG1A is a Local AC Power Distribution Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI Series used in Speedtronic Control Systems. Each control or I/O function needing ac power is supported by the JPDA board, which also offers power isolation, branch circuit protection, and ac power distribution. Ac relay and solenoid control power, ignition transformer excitation, and contact wetting are examples of typical applications. Each output has a fuse, a power isolation switch, and a lamp that flashes when the output voltage is present. According to the rating of the system wiring and connectors, JPDAG1 offers fuses. When fuse rates that are coordinated with a particular application are required, JPDAG2 and G3 are used. To better suit local fuse preferences, two different fuse sizes are offered.

INSTALLATION:

A plastic mount for JPDA is compatible with a vertical DIN-rail. Three-position Mate-N-Lok connectors are on both the power input and output cables. Refer to the circuit diagram for cable destination information. The chassis ground connector is TB1. It's crucial to supply a ground lead from TB1 to the system PE when installing the JPDA. The metal switch bodies now have a ground path.

OPERATION:

The distribution of 120/240 V rms power in JPDA and how it reaches the TRLY board or an ac load is depicted in the accompanying diagram. A single JPDM Main Power Distribution Module supplies power to several JPDA boards. Either 120 V rms or 240 V rms, 50/60Hz, are the maximum input voltages. There are two 3-Pin Mate-N-Lok connections available. The other connector can be used to daisy-chain ac power to another JPDA board from the connector that receives ac input power. The low or neutral side of the input power is anticipated to be grounded.

There are four three-pin Mate-N-Lok output circuits available. Each output circuit has a pair of isolation contacts for the non-grounded line as well as branch circuit protection. A green bulb is also included to show whether the voltage is present at the output terminals.

CONFIGURATION:

JPDA doesn't have any jumps. The four output load switches should be in the proper positions. This board can be used with other fuse rates to produce precise branch circuit ratings. The Bussmann ABC series of fuses, which have ratings ranging from 14 A to 15A, is a typical fuse series that is compatible with this board. Use of this board with fuses more than 15A is prohibited. If different fuse ratings are used, the board must be configured so that the right fuse is inserted in each branch circuit.
