  • Connection to VSCA: Use the 37-pin JA1 connector to link DSCB to the VSCA board.

Intermediate distribution for RS-422 multi-drop signals is handled by XDSA boards, with field devices like pressure transducers connecting to ports P1–P4. For example, DSCB can use two of six VSCA channels to interface with twelve Honeywell pressure transducers efficiently.

Signals from devices such as pressure transducers and electric drives are routed to the VSCA for processing. Multi-drop RS-422 signals are distributed via intermediate XDSA boards, allowing multiple devices to share communication channels without signal interference.
