FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

DS200TCEAF1ACH is a Software PROM Set manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark V Series used in GE Speedtronic Control Systems. The DS200TCEAF1ACH GE Emergency Overspeed Board, which is located in the P core of the Mark V panel, features a microprocessor and multiple programmable read-only memory (PROM) modules. Its primary function is to process overspeed and flame detection trip signals from the turbine. If the circuit board is removed, the berg jumpers must be reset. The board is equipped with three fuses, 30 jumpers, and two bayonet connectors. The PROM modules store the firmware and operating instructions used by the microprocessor. Note that when replacing this board, the replacement will not include PROM modules.

TCEA Flame Detection Circuits:

Signals from the UV flame detectors are routed to the PTBA board in the core. These signals are read from the PTBA terminal board via the JVA and JU connectors to the TCEB board and are then sent to the TCEA board through the JK (JKX/Y/Z) connectors. The signals are scaled, and conditioned, and their intensity is calculated using internal algorithms to determine the flame status. The Control Sequence Program (CSP) in the core uses these flame detection signals. These signals are transmitted via the IONET to the I/O Engine, which then sends them to the Control Engine. The JW (JWX/Y/Z) connectors supply 335 V DC to the flame detectors.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What is the function of the Software PROM Set in the Emergency Overspeed Board?

The Software PROM Set contains the firmware and operating instructions that the microprocessor on the Emergency Overspeed Board uses to process critical signals, such as overspeed and flame detection from the turbine.

Why is the Software PROM Set important?

The PROM set is crucial because it ensures the correct operation of the Emergency Overspeed Board. Without the proper firmware and instructions, the board cannot process the necessary signals to maintain turbine safety.

What should I do if I need to replace the Emergency Overspeed Board?

When replacing the Emergency Overspeed Board, make sure to install the correct Software PROM Set. This ensures that the new board can function properly with the required firmware and operating instructions.
