DS200SDCCF1ATA is a Software PROM developed by GE under Mark V control system. It is part of the GE Speedtronic Mark V family of control components and is associated with the software memory used by compatible turbine control configurations. Its suitability depends on the firmware and system configuration of the Mark V installation in which it is intended to operate.
The GE Mark V control system uses several types of memory to support fixed control functions, temporary data processing, and application software storage. Memory is located within the individual turbine controllers as well as in the personal computer used for the operator interface.
The controller architecture incorporates EPROM, RAM, and EEPROM, with each memory type serving a different purpose:
The Mark V allows certain application parameters to be modified through the operator interface. Changes to sequencing, I/O assignments, gains, offsets, and other control parameters can be entered through the operator-maintenance interface and stored in the controller's EEPROM. This provides flexibility for adapting the control strategy to the requirements of a particular turbine installation. Sequencing can also be edited through a ladder diagram format, while selected control constants, including gains and offsets, can be adjusted while the turbine is online when the appropriate security authorization is provided.
The Mark V operator interface uses a PC to provide turbine monitoring, control, and configuration functions. The PC hard disk contains copies of the application software and display programming. The operator interface also allows authorized users to modify elements such as alarm messages, display text, and I/O tag information. I/O tag names can be configured using standard character lengths, with additional descriptive fields available for identification. These modifications are stored on the PC hard disk.
This arrangement separates the functions of the controller memory from the operator-interface computer while allowing both components to work together as part of the overall Mark V control and monitoring architecture.
The Mark V system also provides facilities for customizing control strategies according to individual site requirements. A single operator interface, or multiple operator interfaces working in a hierarchy, can be used to control and monitor up to eight turbines.
This multi-unit capability allows turbine operators to monitor multiple machines from a centralized interface while maintaining the required control and monitoring functions for each turbine.

What is DS200SDCCF1ATA?
It is a Software PROM developed by GE.
What is the function of EPROM in the Mark V system?
EPROM provides fixed, non-volatile memory within the controller. It stores programmed information required by the controller and retains that information when power is removed.
Can Mark V control parameters be changed?
Yes. Authorized changes can be made to items such as sequencing, I/O assignments, gains, and offsets through the operator-maintenance interface. Certain updated application information can be stored in the controller's EEPROM.
Can Mark V sequencing be edited?
Yes. The Mark V system allows sequencing to be edited in ladder diagram format through the operator-maintenance interface.
Can control constants be changed while the turbine is operating?
Certain control constants, including gains and offsets, can be changed while the turbine is online when the required security authorization is provided.
What is the role of the operator interface in the Mark V system?
The Mark V operator interface provides functions for turbine control, monitoring, configuration, and display management. The operator-interface PC also stores copies of application software and display programming on its hard disk.
