DS200CVMAG3A is a Cap/Fuse Voltage Monitor developed by GE under Drive Control system.

Features

  • Two 16-pin connectors and one 2-pin connector are found on the GE Generator Control Turbine Board. Six test points are also present on the board. The 16-pin connectors connect to ribbon cables, which carry control signals to various components and boards in the drive. Because of the fine wires that connect to the plastic connector, ribbon cables are easily damaged.
  • When pulling the ribbon cable out of the board connector, always hold it by the plastic connector. With one hand, hold the board steady and the other hand, grasp the connector and pull it out. If possible, follow the ribbon cable to the other end and ensure that it is completely seated in the connector.
  • If the board fails to function properly after starting the drive, suspect the ribbon cables and visually inspect the fine wires where they connect to the plastic connector. Replace the ribbon cable if you notice that one or more wires have come loose from the connector.
  • The six test points are an effective diagnostic tool for the board. The test points are intended to allow you to isolate and test a single circuit on the board. Because of the current in the board and the surrounding components, only a qualified individual should test it. Use a tester that is appropriate for the task and has been calibrated for it.
  • It measures 11 by 4 inches and has four rings. The rings are identified as TB1, TB2, TB3, and TB4. They are distributed across the top. There are a total of 5 relays on the board.
