Functional Description

IS215UCVDH7A is a Double Slot Controller Board developed by General Electric. It is a part of the Mark VI Series used in GE Speedtronic Gas Turbine Control Systems. A 300 MHz AMD K6 processor, 8 MB of flash memory, and 16 MB of DRAM are used on this double-slot board. Connectivity to the UDH is provided by a single 10BaseT (RJ-45 connector) Ethernet port. A double column of eight status LEDs is present on the UCVD. When the controller is working properly, these LEDs are turned on one at a time in a revolving pattern. The LEDs display a flashing error code that shows the error circumstance when it occurs.

Features

• As a VE Controller, the board share a common processor platform with different drive LAN connector options that address specific applications within the VME rack. This model is used in industrial applications that require high speed and reliability.
• There is one DLAN+ interface, two Genius interfaces, and two ISBus interfaces on the board. All of these interfaces are located on the front faceplate.
• The DLAN+ interfaces provide several communications services, including direct access to all 255 Status S pages and the ability to send directed and group command messages to any device Status S page as long as user logic instruction has been established.
• Unlike the UCVDH1 controller, the UCVDH7 does not provide an ISBus interface.

• ACTIVE: Processor is active
• SLOT 1: Controller configured as slot 1 controller in VME rack
• BMAS: VME master access is occurring
• ENET: Ethernet activity
• BSLV: VME slave access is occurring
• STATUS: Display rotating LED pattern when OK, Display flashing error code when faulted
• FLSH: Writing to Flash memory
• GENX: Genius I/O is active

Ethernet Interface

• 10BaseT twisted pair, RJ-45 connector
• The TCP/IP protocol is used to communicate between the controller and the toolbox. Interface between the controller and the HMI using the Serial Request Transfer Protocol (SRTP).
• EGD protocol for CIMPLICITY HMI and Series 90-70 PLC communication
• For communication between the controller and third-party DCS, the Ethernet Modbus protocol is supported.

COM Ports

Two micro-miniature 9-pin D connectors:

• COM1 Reserved for diagnostics, 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit
• COM2 Used for serial Modbus communication, 9600 or 19200 baud
