FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:
DS200STCAG1ACA is a Turbine Communication Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark V LM Series used in GE Speedtronic Control Systems. The Turbine Communication Board (STCA) serves as the IONET master for the I/O cores, with each core having its own STCA board. Signals are received through specific connectors, processed, and transmitted to the I/O Engine on the UCPB daughterboard via bus connectors J1 and J3. These signals are then routed to the COREBUS connections on the QTBA or CTBA boards through the JEE connector.
STCA CONFIGURATION:
Hardware: Hardware jumper JP2 enables the test points for factory testing and hardware jumper JP4 selects the voltage needed for the flash EPROM. For information on the hardware jumper settings for this board, refer to Appendix A and the hardware jumper screen on the operator interface.
Software: Configuration constants for pulse rate inputs, compressor stall detection, and synchronization are set using the I/O Configuration Editor accessible from the operator interface.
STCA PULSE RATE INPUT CIRCUIT:
The STCA board processes and scales the pulse rate inputs received from the TCQC board. These inputs are generated by magnetic pickup devices, with signals routed to the TCQC board through the QTBA, TBQB, or PTBA terminal boards. The
STCA SYNCH CHECK CIRCUIT:
Generator and bus voltage inputs are routed to the TCQC board through the 19PL connector. These signals originate from the PTBA terminal board in the

What is the function of the Turbine Communication Board (STCA)?
The STCA board acts as the IONET master for I/O cores, facilitating communication between various components and managing signal processing within the turbine control system.
How does the STCA board process signals?
Signals are read from connectors, scaled, conditioned, and then written to the I/O Engine on the UCPB daughterboard via the J1 and J3 bus connectors. The signals are further transmitted to the COREBUS connections through the JEE connector.
What components does the STCA board interact with?
The STCA board interfaces with TCQC boards for pulse rate inputs, PTBA terminal boards for voltage signals, and TCTG boards for synchronizing and other turbine control operations.
