The Application code is generated using Woodward's GAP and Ladder Logic programming tools.

Wiring Notes

  • Ensure proper grounding of shields within the MicroNet cabinet housing by connecting them to the earth ground at each intermediate terminal block, and ensure termination at the control terminal block. The length of exposed wire extending beyond the shield should not exceed 25 mm (approximately 1 inch).
  • Ensure a continuous electrical connection of cable shields from the signal source to the point where the signal wire enters the FTM (Field Terminal Module).
  • FTM terminals are compatible with wire sizes ranging from 0.25 mm² to 2.5 mm (24 AWG to 12 AWG). Each terminal can accommodate two wires of 0.75 mm& (18 AWG) or three wires of 0.5 mm² (20 AWG). Apply a torque of 0.5 to 0.8 Nm (0.37 to 0.59 lb-ft) during terminal connection.
  • Exercise caution to prevent the occurrence of ground loop wiring when establishing connections with other devices.
  • Terminate shields at the cabinet entrance/exit point using a grounding bar or a similar low impedance ground. This grounding bar can either directly connect to the cabinet frame's protective earth or establish an AC connection (utilizing ~0.01 F capacitors) between the bar and cabinet frame/panel at intervals of 150-200 mm (6–8 inches) along the length of the bar.
  • When grounding the shield, it is recommended to ground it directly to the chassis at only one end, preferably at the MicroNet Cabinet end.
  • Avoid placing shielded wires within the same conduit as high voltage or large current-carrying cables to prevent interference and ensure signal integrity.
