330130-080-00-05 is an Extension Cable developed by Bently Nevada. It is a 3300 XL Standard Extension Cable and a part of the Bently Nevada 3300 series. The component functions as an extension cable under Bently Nevada 3300 Proximity Transducer System. The non-XL 3300 5 mm and 8 mm components can be physically and electronically interchanged with 3300 XL 8 mm components. Even though the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor's packaging is different from that of its predecessor, its design, when coupled with the 4-hole mounting base, conforms to the same mounting space standards.

Features:

  • Ideal for Fluid-Film Bearing Machines, Speed Measurements, and Compression Systems
  • Applications for Extended Temperature Range
  • Complete Unit and Cabling Interchangeability
  • Components of the Non-3300 XL Series Transducer System Are Backwards Compatible

Characteristics

  • Cable Length: 8 m (26.2 ft.)
  • Capacitance: 69.9 pF/m (21.3 pF/ft) typical
  • Connector Protector and Cable Option: Standard Cable
  • Agency Approval Option: Multiple Approvals
  • Extension Cable Material: 75 ohm triaxial, fluoroethylene propylene (FEP) insulated.
  • Operating and Storage Temperature: -51 °C to +177 °C
  • Extended Temperature Range Cable: -51 °C to +260 °C

Application Advisory

The 3300 Proximity Transducer is intended to measure position or vibration at frequencies ranging from 0 to 6.5 kHz. This system's typical applications include radial vibration and position, axial position, and Keyphasorâ measurements.

Application Alert

Although the Proximitorâ sensor's terminals and connector are protected against electrostatic discharge, take reasonable precautions to avoid electrostatic discharge during handling.

Routing and Field Wiring

Follow the steps below to route the extension cable.

  • Check that the length of the extension cable and probe lead adds up to the length of the Proximitor sensor system.
  • Mounting clips or similar devices should be used to secure the extension cable to supporting surfaces.
  • Insert labels under the clear Teflon sleeves and shrink the tubing to identify the probe and both ends of the extension cable.
  • Connect the Proximitorâ sensor, extension cable, and probe lead using coax connectors.
  • To insulate the connection between the probe lead and the extension cable, use a connector protector or self-fusing silicone tape. DO NOT use self-fusing silicone tape to insulate a machine connection.
  • If the probe is in pressure or vacuum-sensitive area of the machine, use appropriate cable seals and terminal boxes to seal the hole where the extension cable exits the machine.
