SPECIFICATIONS

Part No.: IS230TRLSH1B
Manufacturer: General Electric
Product Type: I/O Module
Country of Manufacture: United States (USA)
Series: Mark VIe

IS230TRLSH1B is an I/O Module designed and developed by GE. It is a part of Mark VIe control system. The component is DIN-Rail mounted.

Features

  • On the board, there are seven MOVs. If a vertical connection is desired, plug connectors are available. It can be used in conjunction with the Mark VI system's main control module as well as a backup protection module.
  • In a triple architecture application, the TRLS module will be used in conjunction with the previously mentioned control module, as well as the IONet and main processor card. When connected to any type of rack, whether a twenty-one or thirteen-slot VME rack, this module will only take up one slot. The model's main visual components include, but are not limited to, metal oxide varistors, sub-D pin connectors, female plug connectors, and many others.
  • During a visual inspection of this board, it is clear that there are two I/O packs on the board. These packs are labeled as discrete output packs and are connected via two sub-D pin connectors. These packs and connectors are located along one edge of the board, depending on how the board is held horizontally, on the top or bottom of the board.
  • On the opposite side of the board, there are two terminal blocks labeled TB1 and TB2. These two terminals are near the metal oxide varistors, of which there are seven. This component also includes flanges that are oriented upward and downward.

Characteristics

  • The I/O module has two I/O packs.
  • The module is equipped with seven metal oxide varistors that provide protection against voltage spikes and surges, ensuring the reliability and longevity of the connected components.
  • It is equipped with 12 relays that enable the module to switch high current loads.
  • The board features two terminal blocks, TB1 and TB2, which allow for convenient and easy wiring of the connected devices. The terminal blocks are designed to ensure secure and stable connections, reducing the risk of any unwanted disconnections or downtime.
  • It also includes a relay output assembly, providing an efficient and reliable solution for controlling external devices. The module is also equipped with SIL certification, ensuring that it meets the highest safety standards required for use in critical applications.
  • It is a simplex module and is not TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) compatible.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is IS230TRLSH1B?
It is an I/O Module developed by GE

Can the module be used with other Mark VI components?
Yes, the module can be used in conjunction with the Mark VI system's main control module as well as a backup protection module.

What is a triple architecture application?
A triple architecture application refers to the use of three specific components in the Mark VI system: the TRLS module, the IONet, and the main processor card.

What are sub-D pin connectors?
Sub-D pin connectors, also known as D-sub connectors, are electrical connectors commonly used in computer and telecommunications applications. They have a D-shaped metal shell that provides mechanical support and shields the connectors from electromagnetic interference.

What are discrete output packs?
Discrete output packs are a type of I/O pack that provides output signals to a control system. These signals are typically digital, meaning they are either on or off.
