FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:
IS220PCLAH1A, REV C is a Core Analog I/O Module manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VIe Series used in distributed control systems. The Core Analog I/O (PCLA) and associated Core Analog terminal boards (SCLS and SCLT) provide the essential analog signal inputs and outputs required for operating aero-derivative gas turbines. These boards support thermocouple inputs, RTD inputs, voltage inputs, and 4–20 mA current loop inputs and outputs. The PCLA is compatible with various control system configurations, including dual controller TMR I/O, dual controller simplex I/O, and simplex controller TMR I/O setups. A single SCLT terminal board signals one or up to three connected PCLA fans.
The PCLA module serves as the electrical interface between one or two Ethernet I/O networks and the terminal board. It features a shared CPU board used across all Mark VIe distributed I/O systems. Power is supplied to the module via a 28 V DC connector labeled P1, along with dual RJ-45 Ethernet ports for network connectivity.
Field device connections are made through Euro-style box terminals—48 on the SCLS edge and 72 on the SCLT edge. The SCLS board connects to the system using 96-pin (J3) and 48-pin (J4) connectors. A single 68-pin cable links the SCLS (via its J2 connector) to the SCLT board through the JR, JS, or JT connectors.
INSTALLATION:
OPERATION:
The PCLA module consists of two integrated circuit boards: the processor board, common to all Mark VIe distributed I/O systems, and the BCLA acquisition board. In a simplex configuration, the BCLA interfaces with an SCLS and, optionally, an SCLT. In TMR systems, three SCLS-PCLA sets connect to a single SCLT. The graphic below illustrates a typical block diagram of the PCLA and its associated terminal boards.

How do I verify the power and Ethernet status of the module?
After powering the module via the P1 connector, verify the power and Ethernet status LEDs on the PCLA module.
What is the function of the 68-pin cable in the configuration?
The 68-pin cable connects the SCLS and SCLT boards, allowing for signal transmission between the two in both simplex and TMR configurations.
How do I connect the SCLS board to the SCLT board?
Use a single 68-pin cable to connect the J2 connector on the SCLS board to the JR/JS/JT connectors on the SCLT board.
