3500/65 is a channel temperature monitor developed by Bently Nevada. The monitor has 16 temperature channels and accepts temperature inputs from both resistance temperature detectors (RTD) and isolated tip thermocouples (TC). These inputs are processed by the monitor and compared to user-programmable alarm setpoints.

Features

• The 3500 Rack Configuration Software is used to program the monitor.
• The 16-Channel Temperature Monitor can be configured to accept isolated tip thermocouples, 3-wire RTD, 4-wire RTD, or a combination of TC and RTD inputs. Temperature monitors must be installed in groups of three adjacent monitors in Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) configurations.
• To ensure accurate operation and to avoid singlepoint failures, the monitor in this configuration employs two types of voting.

Input Specifications

Front Panel LEDs

• OK LED - Indicates that the 3500/65 is in good working order.
• TX/RX LED - Displays when the system is in communication with other modules in the 3500 rack.
• Bypass LED - This light indicates that the monitor is in Bypass Mode.
• RTD CurrentSource Value - 913 7 micro Amp per transducer at 25 degrees Celsius (1 supply for the 4-wire RTD and 2 supplies for the 3-wire).

Alarm Setpoints

• Set Alert and Danger setpoints for the value measured by the monitor using software configuration.
• For each measured value, alarms can be set from 0 to 100% of full-scale. The only exception is when the full-scale range exceeds the sensor's range.
• In this case, software will limit the setpoint to the sensor's range. Alarms are accurate to within 0.13% of the desired value. Under- and over-alarm setpoints are available on the 3500/65 16-channel temperature monitor.

Environmental Limits

• Operating Temperature: -30 to +65 degrees Celsius
• Storage Temperature: -40 to +85 degrees Celsius
