DS3800HPBD is a parallel buffer decoder developed by GE under the Mark IV series. General Electric's Mark IV Speedtronic range includes the DS3800HPBD. The Mark IV was the first of GE's Speedtronic systems to feature three identical control systems that worked independently of one another in a triple modular redundant system. Downtime is greatly reduced using this method.

  • The component is equipped with fifty teal diodes, three huge silver diodes, and one bright blue LED. There are also approximately 45 resistors on the circuit board.
  • A big female connection port runs down the left edge of the circuit board, with two grey clips on the opposite side. A total of twelve EEPROM chips and twenty EPROM chips are included on this board.
  • The board features an area where an additional EPROM or EEPROM can be added if more programming space is needed. The part is designated "SPARE," and it is surrounded by the essential connecting points.
  • Two red LEDs are included on the board. A small toggle switch is also located in the corner of the board. There are nine jumper switches on the DS3800HPBD.
