FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

DS3800HLNE1B is a Network Controller Card manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark IV Series used in GE Speedtronic turbine control systems. The Board has retention levers on one end and a modular connector on the other. A microprocessor is installed on the board. Numerous transistor-transistor logic devices are present on the board. Three red indicator LEDs and one amber indicator LED are also present on the GE Network Controller Board. Additionally, the board features several electrically erasable, programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) module sockets. 16 jumpers and a 34-pin connector are also present on the board. It has a specialized microprocessor that manages networking operations.

INSTALLATION:

• When installing the board, choose a rack placement that has at least 3 inches of clearance all around it so that air can flow freely over the microprocessor. The drive could overheat if the air is unable to remove the board's excessive heat. Make that the drive's ribbon cables are not obstructing airflow.

• Run the diagnostic tools if the drive shuts down to see a log of the most recent errors. The drive may have overheated, as you might discover. The drive will shut down automatically as a result. Make that the airflow is not obstructed before restarting the drive. The air vents at the top and bottom of the drive must be free of obstructions.
