The IC697MEM735 is available in many configurations, including 256 KB with 256 KB non-volatile flash memory, 128 KB, 256 KB, and 512 KB. For Memory expansion, this daughterboard is added in the exact slot as the module conforms. As RAM is not available, the baseboard uses expansion memory to run the CPU. In the event of a power loss, the battery on the CPU board improves memory retention. Even if the battery connection is not there, the IC697MEM735 keeps flash memory when power is lost.
