SPECIFICATIONS

Part Number: IC693ALG391G
Manufacturer: General Electric
Series: GE Fanuc
Function: Analog Output Module

IC693ALG391G is an Analog Current Output Module that is a series of 90-30 modules manufactured by GE Fanuc. It has two output channels, each of which can convert 12 bits of binary data into an analog output that can be used in a variety of applications. The IC693ALG391G may produce outputs ranging from 0 to 20 mA. The transformed signal has a 12-bit binary resolution. When converting the output, however, the sign bit is not required. The two channels are refreshed during each scanning process. The PLC changes the sign-magnitude of the 13 critical bits in the percent AQ register and sends them to the module.

  • The D/A converter uses 12 bits, whereas the thirteenth bit is used to determine whether negative data has been sent to the module. If negative data is received, the Analog Current Output Module outputs the low end of the current range of 4 mA to 20 mA.
  • Any value entered in the modules that are more than 32767 is usually rejected by the software. The IC693ALG391G has two different output ranges: 4 and 20 mA. User information has been entered into these two output ranges to ensure that a count of 0 equals 4 mA and a count of 32000 equals 20 mA.
  • 0.5 mA is equal to 1000 additions. When measuring Current Output, 4 to 20 mA Output, 0 to 20 mA, the status of the module changes to either Default to 0/4MA or Hold-Last-State if the CPU is switched to STOP mode or RESET. The DEF0/4 jumper on the detachable terminal board connector on the module is used to select the appropriate condition.
  • Each 2-Channel Analog Current Output can be used as a current source or a less precise voltage source. The voltage range is dependent on the current output range's layout and can be added with a 250-ohm resistor instead of a voltage jumper.
  • The major power source for IC693ALG391G is isolated +24 VDC electricity supplied by the PLC power supply. For user-supplied +24 volts, the I/O terminal board of the module has two terminals.
  • When the internal supply is interrupted and Hold-Last-State is selected, these terminals are critical because they provide a backup power source that allows the outputs to retain their value.
  • The user supply is used when the applied voltage is more than the isolated +24 VDC, which is between 21.5 and 26.5 volts. The current loop drivers are of the source type.
  • All fields connected to the module should be wired with a good grade of twisted and protected tool cable connected to GND to reduce loading and noise capacitive.
