Functional Description

5466-1035 is a MicroNet CPU5200 developed by Woodward. The TMR5200 CPU module includes an MPC5200 processor, 128 MB of DDR RAM, 64 MB of flash memory, a Real Time clock, and a variety of communication peripherals. There are two general-purpose Ethernet ports, one Real Time Network port, one serial port, one service port, and two CAN ports among these peripherals. This module includes an FPGA that provides VMEbus master/slave capability as well as other redundant system functions. The TMR5200 Module is intended for 3-2-0 use. A TMR system cannot run on a single CPU. This module was designed and rated for industrial use at temperatures ranging from -40 to +85 °C.

Features

  • During normal operation, on-board circuitry keeps the battery charged. Once the battery is fully charged (taking a maximum of three days), the battery will continue to run the clock for a minimum of three months without power to the control. If power is removed from the CPU module for longer than three months, the real time clock may need to be reset. The resolution of the real time clock is 10 milliseconds.
  • During normal operation, the battery is charged by on-board circuitry. Once fully charged (which can take up to three days), the battery will power the clock for at least three months without power to the control. If the CPU module is turned off for more than three months, the real time clock may need to be reset. The real-time clock has a resolution of 10 milliseconds.
  • For CPU mode (main rack, address 0x000) operation, the Module Configuration Switch (S2) must be properly configured. This module will be properly configured at the factory.

Network Configuration Utility

  • AppManager software from Woodward can be used to load Control software (GAP), monitor diagnostic faults, and configure Network settings. A RJ45 Ethernet cable must be used to connect a PC to Ethernet 1 (ENET1).
  • Locate and highlight the ControlName on the module faceplate in AppManager. To VIEW the IP address configuration, go to the CONTROL - CONTROL INFORMATION menu option. Under the Footprint Description, look for the Ethernet adapter addresses. To CHANGE the IP address configuration, go to the CONTROL - CHANGE NETWORK SETTINGS menu option.
