FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

531X170TBSAGG1 is a Serial Communication Termination Module manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark V LM Series used in GE Speedtronic Control Systems. The TBSA terminal board is in location eight of . The pressure transducer signal wires from the externally-mounted XDSA board for DLE applications and the FMVED serial link wires are connected to this terminal board. The pressure transducer signals are connected to the TCSA board in . The FMVED signals are connected to the PCM daughterboard on the IO Engine in .

TBSA CONNECTIONS:

  • P3 - DLE serial pressure transducers are connected to the 12 V dc power that is received from the TCSA in R>. Additionally, this connection connects the transducer pressure signals back to the TCSA board in the "R" core.
  • P4 - Links to the FMVED motor controllers with 12 V dc power that is received from the TCSA in R>.
  • P5 - It provides a connection between P3 on the PCM daughterboard on the UCPB in R2> and channels 1 and 2 of the FMVED.
  • P6 - Connects P6 on the PCM daughterboard on the UCPB in R2> to channels 3 and 4 of the FMVED.

TSBA HARDWARE CONFIGURATION:

JP1 through JP16 - The transmit and receive communication circuits for the serial links of the FMVED motor controller are enabled by these hardware jumpers.

TB1: The Mark V LM controller receives incoming 115/230 V ac and 125 V dc power via the TB1 terminal board, which is situated in the PD core. For ac to dc conversion in the DACA module, ac power is linked to the TCPD board in the PD core through the JZ2 and JZ3 connectors (s). DC power is often supplied directly to TCPD through the TB1 terminal board from a 125 V dc uninterruptible power source (UPS/battery). The ignition is powered by the JZ5 connection. The same function is performed using the auxiliary ac signals using the JZ4 connector.

TB2: Excitation voltage for contact inputs (DTBA and DTBB terminal boards in the digital cores) can be either 125 V dc from the PD core or 24 V dc from the P core when using the TB2 terminal board. The selected contact input excitation option is put into practice at the manufacturing.
