The system's primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

• The 3300 XL 8 mm system provides the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-metre system also fully complies with the API 670 Standard (4th Edition) for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.
• This level of performance is provided by all 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems, and complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors eliminates the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.
• Each component of the 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System is backwards compatible and interchangeable with other non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, which is useful in applications where an 8 mm probe would take up too much mounting space.

Functional Description

• The 3300 XL probe represents an advancement over previous designs. The TipLoc molding method, which is patented, creates a stronger bond between the probe tip and the probe body.
• The probe cable features a patented CableLoc design that provides 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength to help secure the probe cable and probe tip. 3300 XL 8 mm probes and extension cables with an optional FluidLoc cable are also available.
• This option prevents oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine via the interior of the cable.

Product Attributes

• Between +18 and +27 degrees Celsius, with a -24 Vdc power supply, a 10 k ohm load, an AISI 4140 steel target, and a probe gapped at 1.27 mm (50 mils).
• The performance characteristics apply only to systems made up entirely of 3300 XL 8 mm components.
• The specifications for system accuracy and interchangeability do not apply to transducer systems calibrated to any target other than our AISI 4140 steel target.
