  • In comparison to an 8mm probe, the 3300-series 5 mm probe employs less physical packaging, but does not require less tip-to-tip spacing or side view clearance. When an 8mm probe cannot be used due to physical—not electrical—restraints, this is the alternative. Use the 3300 NSv Proximity Transducer System when your application calls for narrow side view probes.
  • Shaft position and vibration measurements on rotational and reciprocating machinery are the most frequent uses. They are made to work with almost any kind of machine, including gas and steam turbines, pumps, centrifuges, compressors, and electric motors and generators. The system is API 670 compliant and has a linear measuring range of 80 mils (2 millimeters).

Characteristics

Between +18 and +27 degrees Celsius (+64 and +80 degrees Fahrenheit), with a -24 Vdc power supply, a 10 k load, an AISI 4140 steel target, and a probe gapped at 1.27 mm (50 mils). The performance characteristics apply only to systems made up entirely of 3300 XL 8 mm components. The specifications for system accuracy and interchangeability do not apply to transducer systems calibrated to any target other than our AISI 4140 steel target.
