330101-00-10-10-02-00 is a Vibration Sensor Probe PLC Proximity 3300 XL manufactured by Bently Nevada. This Vibration Sensor Probe is a part of the Bently Nevada Proximity Transducer System. The non-contacting, gap-to-voltage Bently Nevada 7200 5mm / 8mm Series Proximity Transducer Systems assess both static and dynamic distances between the probe tip and the target being viewed.

330101-00-10-10-02-00 Features

  • In comparison to an 8mm probe, the 3300-series 5 mm probe employs less physical packaging, but does not require less tip-to-tip spacing or side view clearance. When an 8mm probe cannot be used due to physical—not electrical—restraints, this is the alternative. Use the 3300 NSv Proximity Transducer System when your application calls for narrow side view probes.
  • Shaft position and vibration measurements on rotational and reciprocating machinery are the most frequent uses. They are made to work with almost any kind of machine, including gas and steam turbines, pumps, centrifuges, compressors, and electric motors and generators. The system is API 670 compliant and has a linear measuring range of 80 mils (2 millimeters).

Between +18 and +27 degrees Celsius (+64 and +80 degrees Fahrenheit), with a -24 Vdc power supply, a 10 k load, an AISI 4140 steel target, and a probe gapped at 1.27 mm (50 mils). The performance characteristics apply only to systems made up entirely of 3300 XL 8 mm components. The specifications for system accuracy and interchangeability do not apply to transducer systems calibrated to any target other than our AISI 4140 steel target.

  • Unthreaded Length:  0 mm
  • Overall Case Length Option: 10 - 100 mm
  • Total Length Option: 1.0 metre (3.3 feet)
  • Connector and Cable Type Option: Miniature coaxial ClickLoc, connector, standard cable
  • Agency Approval Option: Not required

Electrical Features

  • Proximitor Sensor Input: Accepts one non-contacting 3300-series 5mm, 3300 XL 8mm, and Extension Cable.
  • Power: Power requirements range from -17.5 Vdc to -26 Vdc without barriers at a maximum consumption of 12 mA, and from -23 Vdc to -26 Vdc with barriers. Operation at a voltage greater than -23.5 Vdc may result in a reduced linear range.
  • Supply Sensitivity: Change in the output voltage of less than 2 mV per volt change in input voltage.
  • 50 Output Resistance

What sensor measures proximity?

Proximity sensors come in a variety of varieties. These include the magnetic sensor, inductive sensor, capacitive sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and photoelectric sensor.

How does a Bently Nevada probe work?

Proximity transducers measure the distance between the probe tip and the surface to be studied using the Eddy Current concept.

Is a proximity sensor digital or analog?

A proximity sensors output stage can be either analog or digital.

What does a proximity sensor produce?

A widely used variety of voltage proximity sensors is the inductive type. Depending on the distance between the target and the sensor, they detect objects and typically generate a 0–10 VDC output.
