FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

IS200TRLYH1F is a Relay Output Terminal Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VIe Series used in distributed control systems. There are 12 contact-voted relay outputs available from the Relay Output with TMR Contact Voting (TRLY1F) terminal board. Each TMR segment on the board contains 12 sealed relays for a total of 36 relays. A voted Form A (NO) contact is created by combining the relay contacts from R, S, and T. You can use 115 V ac or 24/125 V dc. There is no electricity distribution on TRLY1F.

An optional power distribution board, IS200WPDFH1A, can be added to the Mark VI and VIe control systems so that a conventional 125 V dc or 115 V ac source, an optional 24 V dc source with individual fuses, or both can be given for field solenoid power. For ac situations where a fuse in the neutral return wire (pin 3 of J1-J4) is not desirable, IS200WPDFH2A offers a single fuse on the high side (pin 1 of J1-J4) of each power distribution circuit. The only difference between TRLY2F and TRLY1F is that the voted contacts produce a Form B (NC) output. Applications for Class 1 Division 2 are compatible with both boards.

INSTALLATION:

As indicated in the following image, TRLY1F Terminal Board Wiring, attach the wires for the 12 solenoids directly to two I/O terminal blocks on the terminal board. Each block has 24 terminals that may accommodate wires up to #12 AWG and are secured with two screws. Each terminal block includes a shield termination strip that is connected to the chassis ground directly to the left. If the WPDF daughterboard is installed, solenoid power for outputs 1 through 12 is provided. Customer power can also be linked to the terminal block as an alternative. The three I/O processors connected at JR1, JS1, and JT1 provide the 28 V dc power for the terminal board relay coils and logic.

OPERATION:

  • The three I/O processors connected at JR1, JS1, and JT1 provide the 28 V dc power for the terminal board relay coils and logic. As stated in the Specifications section, the same relays are used for ac and dc voltages. The relays used by TRLY1F and 2F are identical, however, their circuits vary. The TRLY1F is equipped with relay drivers that operate at a frame rate.
  • The relay outputs have a failsafe mechanism that, in the event of a cable unplugging or a breakdown in communication with the connected I/O board or I/O pack, de-energizes the corresponding relay.
  • Only TMR apps are supported by this board. Plugs JR1, JS1, and JT1 route the relay control signals from the three I/O processors R, S, and T into TRLY1F. For each TMR section R, S, and T, these signals directly control the appropriate relay driver. Relay coil power is supplied by each section's own I/O processor and is not shared with other sections.
  • There is TMR contact voting in TRLY1F. A voted Form A (NO) contact is created by combining the relay contacts from R, S, and T. You can use 115 V ac or 24/125 V dc. The only difference between TRLY2F and Form B (NC) output comes from the voted contacts.
