FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

IS210DSVOH1A is a Simplex Servo I/O Terminal Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI Series used in the GE Speedtronic Control System. A small terminal board made for DIN-rail attachment is called the Simplex Servo Input/Output (DSVO) terminal board. This board features two servo outputs, I/O for six LVDT position sensors, and two active pulse rate inputs for flow monitoring. Jumpers are used to select servo coil currents between 10 and 120 mA. A 37-pin cable, similar to those used on the bigger TSVO board, is used to link DSVO to the VSVO processor board. In order to save cabinet space, the terminal boards can be stacked vertically on the DIN rail. If necessary, two DSVO boards may be linked to the VSVO. This board is only offered in simplex form.

The onboard features and high-frequency decoupling to the ground are identical to those on the TSVO. High-density Euro-Block type terminal blocks are permanently attached to the board using six screws for the ground connection (SCOM). In order to identify the board to the VSVO for system diagnostics, connectors JR1 and J5 connect to signals from onboard ID chips.

INSTALLATION:

After positioning the DSVO board in the plastic holder, mount it to the DIN rail. The terminal block should receive the servo I/O wires directly connected. The terminal block of the Euro-Block type is permanently installed on the terminal board and has 42 or 36 terminals (DSVOH1B, H2B) depending on the version. Twisted pair wire with a shield of #18 AWG is frequently utilized. For SCOM (ground) connection, six screws numbered 31 through 36 are provided; these screws should be used at the shortest possible distance.

CONFIGURATION:

The servo valve coil resistance, which ranges from 22 W to 1,000 W, and the desired coil current are selected on the DSVOH1B via jumpers JP1 and JP2. The coil currents and resistances are displayed in the following table; for instance, jumper 120B gives a coil current of about 120 mA.
