GE developed the IC3600LIBA1 as an input buffer card for heavy-duty gas and steam turbines under Mark I and II. Both the Mark I and II systems have been in use for more than four decades and continue to be used in various parts of the world. The original equipment manufacturer, General Electric, no longer supports these systems because newer, more technologically advanced systems for turbine management have been released. GE has developed systems beyond the most advanced of these, the Mark VIe, and several of these systems are part of the Speedtronic series.

• IC3600LIBA1 is printed with the code 68A989162G1, board ID number, and the GE logo. It's made up of nine capacitors that are all labeled C1 and are arranged vertically in a single line.
• One polyester vinyl capacitor, called C2, is horizontally positioned in the board's center. A single line on the board has nine transistors labeled Q1. A single line designated Q2 on the circuit has nine more transistors.
• On the board, there are 99 carbon composite resistors.Five lines of eighteen (each line marked with either a single or potentially two designators) and one line of nine are set on the board (also marked with a single designator.)
