DS2020FEANRP050A is a Field Exciter Module (50A) manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Drive Control Series used in GE Drive Turbine Control Systems. A field exciter module (also known as an excitation system or exciter module) is an electronic device that is used to control and regulate the electrical output of a generator or motor. It provides the required voltage and current to the generator's field winding, which in turn produces the required magnetic field to induce the output voltage. The exciter module typically includes a voltage regulator, which monitors the output voltage of the generator and adjusts the field current to maintain a steady output voltage. It may also include other components such as a rectifier, an automatic voltage regulator (AVR), and protective features such as overvoltage and overcurrent protection. FEATURES:

• It is single-phase, 600 volts, 50/60 Hz. It has a direct current output of 500 volts and 50 amps.

• It is housed in a long, rectangular metallic chassis. There are two open sides that allow the user to access the power supply's internal circuitry. Each of the four corners of the chassis has four factory-drilled mounting holes.

• There are also factory-drilled holes on the closed sides of the chassis. Two large cables connect and screw onto connectors on the bottom of the unit. They are held in place by two nuts.

• On the top left side of the card, just above four white transformers, there is a 10-pin male connector.
