SPECIFICATIONS

Part No.: IC660BBA024K
Manufacturer: General Electric
Product Type: Analog I/O Module
Series: Mark I and II

IC660BBA024K is an Analog Input-Output module developed by General Electric under Fanuc Series. The rated voltage of the block is 24/48 VDC. The board is mostly utilized as an interface controller for devices that accept analog signals ranging from 4 to 20 mA. There are two outputs and four inputs. It delivers isolated power to all six circuits, obviating the need to separate power from devices requiring 4 to 20 mA. It also allows the user to choose linear scaling values for each circuit separately from the other circuits that use those values. The result can be viewed as engineering units on a handheld monitor.

  • The input channels use voltage to frequency converters and counters to convert analog signals to digital signals. Before sending the value to the central processing unit, the block converts it to engineering units. Each of the four independent inputs has a 24V current loop power supply with a current capacity of 25mA. Each input channel is segregated from the other circuits in the block. The accuracy of the input is 0.1 percent. Input conversion is chosen to provide the best mix of noise reduction and input resolution.
  • Conversion times can be set anywhere between 16 and 400 milliseconds. As the conversion time goes on, the resolution improves. For a 200mS conversion time, the input resolution is 1A.
  • The two independent output circuits have the same electrical arrangement as the other circuits on the block, but they are isolated from one other. The block delivers power to the current loops on the outputs.
  • A dual 12-bit digital to analog converter is used for the two output channels. Each channel independently controls currents ranging from 0 to 24 mA. At 25°C, output accuracy is 0.15 percent, and output resolution is 6micro ampere.
  • Use the block's dedicated digital output to couple it with a 24/48 VDC Bus Switching Module when putting a Current-Source Analog I/O Block into a redundant bus wire system. Whether you employ bus switching or not, the blocking software is adjustable. Because the Genius series blocks come with built-in diagnostics, the block does not require user calibration.
  • The electronics assembly can be removed and replaced with a compatible model by the user. The electronics assembly and the terminal assembly for the IC660BBA024K are two different parts of the same block. The user can replace the electronics without interfering with the field wiring.
